Session Description:
This roundtable focuses on the teaching of Chicana/o literature and culture together with the traditions of other groups (e.g., Cuban or Mexican) under the rubric of “Latina/o literature.” Panelists will consider the use of thematic approaches inclusive of different groups versus ethnically defined approaches, as well as how expanding notions of Latina/o complicate or enhance teaching objectives.
