Session Description:
2013 marks the centenary of the American poet Muriel Rukeyser’s birth (1913–80). This roundtable celebrates Rukeyser’s manifold career and looks to broaden the scope of Rukeyser studies in the twenty-first century by introducing unexamined texts, theoretical models, and networks of influence in her large body of work, focusing on those aspects that seem particularly resonant now.
