Speaker: David G. Nicholls, MLA Respondent: Eric Wirth, MLA The seventh edition of the MLA Handbook for Writers of Research Papers is the first to feature a complementary Web site (www.mlahandbook.org). In this workshop, you will learn how to use the site’s research project narratives and sample papers for classroom and one-on-one instruction. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask the lead author and the chief copyeditor questions about MLA style. Discussion will focus on the challenges instructors face in teaching research methods and citation practices to undergraduates.
