Disability studies and aging studies share fundamental approaches, yet theorists in these fields rarely converse, interventions to mitigate ableism and ageism rarely coincide, and our cultural narratives typically dichotomize: old age is de facto disability, or aging well a triumphant repudiation of disability. This roundtable provides for much-needed conversation among experts in these fields.
