Session Description:
This roundtable engages long-standing debates between postcolonial and globalization studies. We hope to reevaluate concerns over the heuristic of the global by contextualizing them in relation to recent trends in postcolonial theory, such as the renewed focus on the postcolony, the planetary, the affective, the subaltern as well as on ontologies of the local.
