Pérez-Torres, Univ. of California, Los Angeles; Luziris Turi, Univ. of Houston; Dana Williams, Howard Univ. This interactive workshop will identify success strategies for graduate students and junior faculty members of color as they negotiate their academic careers and the job market. Following a brief overview of relevant data, we will discuss proven strategies for recruiting, retaining, and mentoring graduate students of color and focus on challenges faced by junior faculty members of color.
