Finger, Univ. of Connecticut, Storrs Speakers: David Damrosch, Harvard Univ.; Frances Smith Foster, Emory Univ.; Andrea Abernethy Lunsford, Stanford Univ.; Sidonie Smith, Univ. of Michigan, Ann Arbor The 2006 report of the MLA Task Force on Evaluating Scholarship for Tenure and Promotion called for an evaluation system in the humanities that credits a variety of scholarly activity and production, but such a system is not yet in place. Speakers will present short papers on the issue and request assistance from individual members to identify best-practices processes already in place and suggest possible models for different types of institutions.
