Session Description:
The first Chinese recipient of the Nobel Prize in Literature, Gao Xingjian is a playwright, novelist, filmmaker, director, and painter. His major works include Bus Stop, Snow in August, Soul Mountain, and One Man's Bible. In this dialogue with Michael Berry (in Mandarin with English interpretation), Gao will discuss his diverse body of work and the creative process. The conversation will also feature short clips from Gao's film and plays.
