Through the use of technology, cross cultural and multinational collaboration, Second Life and other virtual environments enable a level of collaboration and community building that is sometimes more difficult in traditional settings. Virtual Harlem will be highlighted during my talk. An introduction to my avatar, Bryan Mnemonic, can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qqr_q4CFokI For abstracts, visit www.ach.org/mla/mla09/ after 1 Dec.
