Program arranged by the American Association of Teachers of German

Presiding: Gisela Ruth Hoecherl-Alden, Boston Univ.

Session Description:

The MLA challenged the profession to develop foreign language programs in which students achieve proficiency through multiple literacies. With many faculty members lacking the pedagogical expertise to link content and language learning, the challenge is a mandate for comprehensive faculty development. This session considers approaches to developing literacy-based instruction for all, on campus and online.

Subjects:

  • The Teaching of Language and Literature – Foreign Languages

  • German Literature – General
