Author Comment
Subject: Very interesting!
I went to this panel as I am directing a senior work on Alcott and wanted some orientation, which Walls's talk splendidly gave, but the two talks on letters and manuscript culture were also excellent--and I was intrigued by WIlliam Ellery Channing's letters being lost in an auto fire! The respondent was succinct and occasioned many stimulating questions, A valuable and productive session!
