Speaker's Annotation:Hunter Vaughan received his PhD in Modern Languages from the University of Oxford, where he specialized in French cinema and philosophy. Alongside his interests in transnational cinema, film theory, and issues of identity in representation, he is currently working on a research project concerning the French Philosophy of Cinema, as illustrated through the work of Schefer, Deleuze, and Ranciere. He is currently Lecturer of Film and Media Studies at Washington University in St. Louis.
