Responding: Pedro Garcia-Caro, Univ. of Oregon Session Description: National discourses are challenged across different continents and diverse cultural and linguistic traditions. Some of the fundamental questions this roundtable will address are, What comes after the nation? Who benefits from a postnational culture? Are there cultures or traditions where (post)nationalism is more readily adopted? Why? What is the role of language and literary teaching in a postnationalist context?
