This session is aimed at faculty members and administrators interested in how unions work on campuses and how they are confronting and managing the economic crisis in the academy. Some of the questions the roundtable will address are, How do unions work in academe? What effect do they have on faculty governance? How do unions work with the tenure process? Do unions inhibit academic freedom? Do unions inhibit salaries? Do they foster an adversarial relationship with the administration?
