Marriott A special session Presiding: Edward Dimendberg, Univ. of California, Irvine Speakers: Edward Dimendberg; Sara E. Johnson, Univ. of California, San Diego; Richard Sieburth, New York Univ.; Jerome Singerman, Univ. of Pennsylvania Press; Helen Tartar, Fordham Univ. This roundtable will address how collaborative publishing initiatives can help make scholarship available in underserved fields and thereby launch new intellectual and technological projects. We approach the panel as an informational session, in which the primary focus is on the Modern Language Initiative and the programs of the consortium presses and on the larger issues addressing the intellectual challenges and opportunities we confront.
