Travel arrangements may be made through the MLA convention travel Web site hosted by MacNair Travel Management, the official travel coordinator for the MLA Annual Convention.

Airline Discounts
- United Airlines (the official carrier for the 2013 MLA Annual Convention): 2%–13% off applicable fares for travel from 2 to 9 January 2013. Other restrictions and fees may apply.

The above discount is valid for travel to and from Boston between 31 December 2012 and 9 January 2013 (except holiday blackout on 2 January 2013). This offer is not valid for the Auto Train or Acela service. The Amtrak convention fare discount is only available for reservations made by phone.
Automatic Flight Insurance
- $100,000 in accident insurance is provided at the point of sale at no additional cost in conjunction with an airline ticket purchased through MacNair Travel.
MacNair will send electronic ticket receipts and itineraries for your airline and train tickets and rental car reservations to your e-mail address if you book through the Web site or if you book over the phone. Transportation in Boston
MLA convention hotels are located in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood, near the John B. Hynes Convention Center (Hynes).
Airport Transportation
Boston Logan International Airport (Logan) is about four miles from downtown Boston. For airport information, visit www.massport.com/logan-airport/Pages/Default.aspx. Shuttle transportation from Logan to the MLA convention hotels is available from various shuttle companies. The T Commuter Rail connects Boston to Logan; the ride takes about forty minutes from the airport to the Hynes Convention Center station on the Green Line. Taxi stands are located outside each terminal at Boston Logan International Airport. Average fare to downtown Boston is approximately $25–$35, and the ride takes approximately 15–20 minutes depending on traffic conditions and your destination. Amtrak
The Back Bay Amtrak station is the Amtrak station closest to MLA convention hotels and the Hynes and is located two blocks from Copley Square.
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA)
MBTA operates throughout Boston; for information on routes and fares, visit http://www.mbta.com/.
South Station Bus Terminal
The terminal for Greyhound and other bus lines is South Station. The average taxi fare to the Hynes and to Back Bay hotels is $15–$20, and the ride is approximately 10 minutes long.
