On 2 January 2013—the day before the MLA Annual Convention in Boston—Northeastern University's Center for Digital Humanities will host THATCamp MLA, an "unconference" focused on how technology intersects with humanities research and teaching that will feature an exciting, spontaneous, and collaborative day of informal discussion and workshops. A few days before the event, participants will post ideas for things they want to talk about on the THATCamp MLA blog. Instead of featuring lengthy papers or presentations, each session will focus on productive, collegial work that involves all participants (attendance will be capped at 100). There is no registration fee, although participants will be asked for a suggested donation of $20 to cover costs. For more information or to apply, visit http://mla2013.thatcamp.org. Organizers will begin reviewing applications on 1 October and will notify those accepted by 6 November.
