New Report on the Master’s Degree

The report of the ADE Ad Hoc Committee on the Master’s Degree, Rethinking the Master’s Degree in English for a New Century, is now available on the MLA Web site. Recognizing that nearly half of faculty members teaching English hold a master’s as their highest degree, the committee surveyed ADE-member departments to learn more about the character of MA programs and the role of master’s degree holders in departments. We encourage you to download the PDF and to share it with colleagues.
