Quick Tour: Special-Session Form Confirmation

  • After you have submitted your proposal, you should reach the confirmation page that lists the session title, the date and time it was submitted, and the submission ID number. Print a copy of this page.
  • This page will list the names of any of the session participants that the system did not recognize as being a current MLA member. Participants must be MLA members (or have had the membership requirement waived) by 7 April. To invite participants to join the MLA or renew their membership, click the Send Invitation link for those persons.
  • If you have invited a participant who is not an MLA member and who is eligible to receive a waiver of membership, use this page to request a waiver for that participant. To access the waiver request form, use the Click to Submit link next to the participant's name. Requests for waivers of membership must be submitted by 1 April.
  • If you have requested a waiver for a participant and wish also to request funding for that participant, use the link for that participant in the "Request for funds" column. The funding link will only appear once the waiver request form has been submitted.
  • If the confirmation page does not appear, there may have been a problem with your proposal. Return to the "Proposing a Special Session" page. This should list the title of the proposal and the status. If the status is "Incomplete," then the proposal was not submitted. If the proposal was successfully submitted, the status will be "Submitted."
